Though it's not Tuesday,
I was in charge of making today's dinner.
The rye flour from valentine's day was still left,
so the main food was naturally set to be Rye bread.
There was also a request of "mashed potato with meat sauce topping",
so the menu was settled with salad added to it.
Whenever I get to be in charge of making dinner,
I always get too eager in cooking and end up not being able to handle the menu.
Whenever I get into this kind of situation,
I can't make it to the scheduled time of dinner,
or fail the flavoring because I get in haste to finish cooking dinner in time.
This time I planned to make only 3 dishes,
so that made it easy for me to handle.
I finished cooking dinner adjusting the time perfectly to today's scheduled time!
At first I was thinking of adding a soup with it,
but it was a correct decision that I didn't do that.
Today's menu doesn't have a content that stands out,
but for an exchange, it gives you a taste of homely flavor,
and doesn't make you get tired of it.
I'm not familiar with German food,
but today's dinner made me imagine a home cooking of German.
It was my first time to bake a Rye bread,
so I thought it would turn out to be more dry,
and takes away your moisture from your mouth.
But what a surprise!
Though I hadn't used butter or skim milk,
the bread was so delicious!
The crunchy outside and the inner moist was a nice contrast.
The "mashed potato with meat sauce topping" tasted great.
But I should have vaporized the water from the potato more,
to prevent it from ending up more like a paste.
But actually, the paste form potato matched the bread,
spreading it on.
It was a pleasure for my mom giving me a remark that today's dinner was that best out of the one I've ever made.
For me the previous dinner was the best (Nan bread),
because both making and eating was enjoyable with the variation of the flavor of the curry.
Now......
what am I gonna cook next?
